Fall of Kabul – Five Years Later
Five years ago, on August 15, 2021, the Taliban entered Kabul – the capital city of Afghanistan. The withdrawal of U.S. forces and contractors severely reduced the Afghan military’s ability to supply, maintain, reinforce, and medically evacuate isolated units.
